Dr. Ruiloba is a Mexican obstetrician-gynecologist with a deep interest in women's health and public policy. Coming from a family of renowned doctors, Francisco spent his early childhood in Aguascalientes a beautiful middle-sized city in the center of Mexico. Having lived in Ireland and Philadelphia, Francisco is as fluent in English as a native speaker.
Francisco decided to dedicate his life to women's health when he became aware of the immense gender disparities in health that affect Mexican women, especially in the public sector.
During medical school, Francisco noted how the curriculum on women's health in his university was scarce. He decided to found a Student Interest Group in ObGyn that continues working to this day towards achieving a greater education and participation of students in women's healthcare.
During his residency, Francisco discovered the value of not only providing a global perspective of women's health to his colleagues but also in representing Mexican residents and making their voices heard on an international stage. He found that this forced him to maintain a high level of knowledge and pushed him to become a better physician through participation in prestigious scientific communities.
Francisco was elected to lead the Junior Fellows of the Mexico Section of ACOG. where he has helped with the organization of international conferences, managing the social networks of the Mexico Section with updated and relevant information, and establishing relationships with physicians from other countries. In this context, Dr. Ruiloba was also selected to represent Mexico and later North America at the World Association of Trainees in Obstetrics and Gynecology (WATOG), he currently holds the position of treasurer.
